  • The Office of Governance and Management (OGM) manages all City operations and is led by a City Manager. In addition to all aspects of City management other key services of OGM include:
    • Communications
    • Elections
    • Government relations
    • Neighborhood associations 
    • Support to Mayor and City Council
    • Volunteer program

    City Manager Eric SchmidtCity Manager biography 

    The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to manage the day-to-day operations of the city and implement Council policy direction.

    City Manager Eric Schmidt was appointed pro tem on July 7. This is a temporary position not to exceed six months. The City will conduct a search for a permanent City Manager in the coming months.

    Eric brings more than 30 years of progressively responsible private and public experience, over 22 serving the City of Gresham as the Community Development Director and Building Official. Eric graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Architectural Engineering).
